Key Informations about the eclipse
A total solar eclipse unfolds in three main stages. First, the partial eclipse begins as the Moon slowly moves in front of the Sun, gradually covering more and more of its disk. Then comes totality, when the Moon completely blocks the Sun for observers within the path of totality, causing the sky to darken dramatically and revealing the Sun’s glowing corona. Finally, the partial eclipse returns as the Moon continues its journey across the Sun, gradually uncovering it until daylight is fully restored.
